Job summary

Independent Living Options SA is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team on a full-time basis. You will provide personal care and daily living support to participants in their own homes across multiple locations in South Australia.

Requirements include Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent, at least 1 year experience, a current First Aid certificate, SA Driver's Licence, and clear screening checks. Salary is 70,000–80,000 AUD per year plus super.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent.
• Minimum one year full-time work experience in disability support.
• Current First Aid, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration (CPR).
• South Australian Driver's Licence and right to work in Australia.
• Effective communication, including non-verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible across a 24/7 roster and willingness to undergo training.
• COVID vaccination or valid exemption and related infection control training.
• National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care tasks per Behaviour/Support Plans to enable independence.
• Assist with household tasks prioritised by care plans and goals.
• Maintain accurate records and report changing needs per protocols.
• Undertake domestic duties to support daily living and home upkeep.
• Contribute to social support to enhance family and community interaction.
• Follow WHS policies and participate in meetings and training.
• Attend supervision and performance reviews and comply with standards.
