Job summary

Carers Collective is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to assist participants on the Sunshine Coast. You will deliver tailored in-home care, helping individuals live with independence and dignity across various shifts.

Join a team focused on genuine care, with opportunities for ongoing development and pathway to part-time roles after probation. Roles include day shifts and sleepovers, with diverse, meaningful tasks and community impact.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to connect with participants and families.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to build rapport and provide person-centred care.
• Experience in aged care or disability sectors is preferred.
• Manual Handling skills and safety awareness.
• First Aid including CPR certification.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Current Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition needs.
• Light housekeeping and domestic assistance.
• Support participants to maintain independence and daily living goals.
• Offer companionship and social/recreational engagement.
• Document care provided according to policies and standards.
