Job summary

McArthur Community Care in Australia is seeking compassionate, reliable support workers to assist a young female client living with an acquired spinal cord injury. Shifts 0700-0900 and 1500-1930 on weekdays during term time, and 0900-1500 in school holidays, with full training provided.

You will deliver person-centred in-home support, including personal care, meal management, and transport in the client’s modified vehicle, joining a dedicated team focused on independence, safety and community

Qualifications

• Engaging person-centred approach to in-home support.
• Effective communication and relationship-building with clients.
• Full driving licence and an experienced driver.
• Positive, engaging and respectful manner.
• Desire to influence the lives of people with a disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support to the client in Kapunda.
• Assist with personal care, transfers and continence.
• Assist with meal management and community access, including driving the client in her modified vehicle.
• Work within a dedicated team of support workers.
