Job summary

Yarra Valley Support Coordination in Lilydale, VIC, seeks a reliable casual Support Worker to provide personalised care to clients in the disability and aged care sectors. This role offers variety across daily living tasks, community access, and advocacy, with potential progression to a full-time contract.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, delivering high-quality, person-centred support, maintaining shift notes, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
• Experience working with male participants.
• Experience supporting individuals dealing with addiction.
• Experience supporting children of all ages.
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Current First Aid certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light household tasks
• Accompanying and supporting clients to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social and recreational activities
• Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
• Advocating for clients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure their needs are met
• Maintaining accurate client records through your shift notes and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
