Ageing Australia is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker for the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You will provide person-centred care in home and community settings, supporting people with diverse disabilities and complex needs while building trust and promoting independence.

The role offers casual hours, immediate start, and comprehensive training within a supportive team culture focused on wellbeing and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, aged care or nursing support roles.
• Qualified to work with complex care needs and behaviour support.
• Current Police Check and Working With Children Check in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support including transfers and hygiene.
• Meal preparation and domestic tasks to maintain a safe home environment.
• Support for complex needs such as dementia, brain injury and mental health.
• Safe operation of hoists and assistance with medication within scope.
• Deliver person-centred supports and promote independence in community settings.
• Accurate record-keeping and collaborative care planning with the team.
