Myxa is seeking compassionate Disability/Mental Health Support Workers to provide personalised support in participants' homes and communities in the Melbourne area. Shifts include mornings, afternoons and sleepovers, with duties spanning personal care, mobility and daily living activities to support independence.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SIL, experience with complex needs and a solid understanding of NDIS and person-centred care, plus a valid licence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ disability support experience in a SIL setting.
• Experience supporting participants with physical and psychosocial disabilities, complex needs and behaviours of concern.
• Knowledge of the NDIS and person-centred support practices.
• Confidence in personal care, manual handling and promoting independence.
• Strong communication, rapport-building, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with participants, families and other professionals.
• Valid driver’s licence.

About the Role

Myxa is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability/Mental Health Support Workers to provide individualised, person-centred support to participants in their homes and the community.

Shifts include mornings, afternoons, and sleepovers. Responsibilities may include personal care, manual handling, transportation, community access, daily living activities, independent living skills, and supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ disability support experience in a SIL setting.

• Experience supporting participants with physical and psychosocial disabilities, complex needs, and behaviours of concern.

• Knowledge of the NDIS and person-centred support practices.

• Confidence in personal care, manual handling, and promoting independence.

• Strong communication, rapport-building, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively with participants, families, and other professionals.

• A valid driver’s licence.
