Job summary

Exodus Foundation in Blacktown is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our Social Health and Wellbeing team at the Blacktown Medical Clinic, starting immediately. You will provide chairside support, welcome clients with respect, prepare rooms, maintain infection control, and coordinate with laboratories and external providers.

Experience and a Certificate III in Dental Assisting are required; radiography certificate is desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant.
• Certificate in Dental Radiography is desirable.
• Experience using dental software such as Exact or SharePoint is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A respectful, client-centred approach.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support to dentists and dental staff.
• Welcome clients with compassion and respect.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain infection control to high standards.
• Maintain confidential patient records using dental software (training provided).
• Coordinate with laboratories and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Support stock management and regular dental stocktakes.
• Contribute to a calm, organised, client-focused clinic environment.
• Work respectfully with clients who may have trauma histories.
