Job summary

Romilly Place in Australia is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to assist participants with mental health and psychosocial needs, drug recovery, emotional regulation, independent living and daily life skills.

You will provide person-centred support in homes and communities, helping participants achieve recovery goals and participate socially, with an emphasis on empathy and safety.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health or a related field (or currently studying).
• Experience supporting people with mental health or addiction (highly regarded).
• A calm, resilient and compassionate approach to challenging situations.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working with Children Check.
• Manual Handling training.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in participants' homes and the community.
• Support recovery goals, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks and daily routines.
• Implement positive behaviour support strategies and maintain accurate documentation.
• Build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
