Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to support older residents at Forest View Residential Aged Care in Wondai. You’ll deliver hands-on, compassionate, person-centred care and work with nurses to ensure comfort and safety, helping residents maintain independence and dignity.

Ideal candidates hold Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services Assistance (or are nursing students eligible to participate).

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Health Services Assistance (or equivalent).
• Ability to provide safe, person-centred care in a residential aged care setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on, person-centred care to residents to support wellbeing and independence.
• Collaborate with Registered and Enrolled Nurses to monitor changes in residents’ needs.
• Create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment for residents.
• Document care accurately and support quality and safety initiatives.
