Job summary

Allegiance Heart and Home Care in Prospect NSW is seeking a compassionate female Support Worker on a casual basis to assist clients in the aged and disability sectors with daily living activities and mobility. You will promote independence and well-being, provide companionship, and help with meals, personal care and community access.

The role offers flexible casual hours, ongoing training, and a supportive workplace culture to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting and caring for vulnerable people in the aged and disability sectors.
• Caring, patient and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours as required.
• Commitment to high standards of personal hygiene and professional conduct.
• Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and daily living activities.
• Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
• Preferred: prior experience in aged care, disability support or community services.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, grooming, dressing).
• Support meal preparation and nutrition.
• Provide mobility assistance and safe home movement.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain a clean and safe client environment.
• Support community access and social activities.
• Communicate with clients, families and care team.
• Follow care plans and report changes in client needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Uphold high standards of personal and professional conduct.
