Job summary

Infinite Care is seeking a Personal Carer & Engagement Worker (PCEWs) at Windsor care home in Victoria to work with nursing and resident engagement teams in delivering compassionate, resident-centric care across AM and PM shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year aged care experience, strong communication, empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to safety. Certifications such as First Aid/CPR and NDIS screening are essential, with Certificate IV/III preferred.

The Opportunity

Our Personal Carer & Engagement Worker (PCEWs) or Lifestyle Assistants are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families and colleagues 7 days a week across AM and PM shifts.

This role based at Windsor care home in Victoria will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines duties and accountabilities for this role - Lifestyle is what is this role is commonly called in the Aged Care sector.

About You

Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles and their application in lifestyle programs with basic knowledge of the emotional, social, and physical needs of older adults.
• Qualifications across Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle is applicable for this role. Certificate III in Individual Support is also desirable.
• Hold (*or willingness to obtain) the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector
• Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
• Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
