Job summary

Uniting Eden is seeking a catering assistant to support our residents with nutritious meals and compassionate service in a part-time role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services.
• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable).
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for quality meals.
• Previous experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering services to residents in a timely manner.
• Communicate with residents about their dietary needs.
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ dietary needs, including texture-modified meals and special diets.
• Maintain best practices in health, hygiene, sustainability, and safety in the kitchen and service.

• Permanent Part-time position (21 hours per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering assistant to join our team at Uniting Eden.

• Provide catering services to residents in a timely manner
• Communicate with residents about their dietary needs
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ individual dietary needs, including texture-modified meals and special diets.
• Maintain best practices in health, hygiene, sustainability, and safety within the kitchen and service

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services – whether in catering, cooking or kitchenhand roles
• Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification (highly desirable)
• Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable)
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for preparing quality, nutritious meals.
• Previous experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.
