Job summary

Uniting Eden NSW is seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to provide timely catering services to residents and support dietary needs.

You will work with care staff to ensure texture-modified meals and special diets while upholding health, hygiene and safety standards in a role based in Eden NSW. This part-time position offers a rewarding environment within a leading human services organisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services.
• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent (desirable).
• Food Safety Certificate (desirable).
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering assistant to join our team at Uniting Eden.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide catering services to residents in a timely manner
• Communicate with residents about their dietary needs
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ individual dietary needs, including texture-modified meals and special diets.
• Maintain best practices in health, hygiene, sustainability, and safety within the kitchen and service

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services – whether in catering, cooking or kitchenhand roles
• Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification (highly desirable)
• Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable)
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for preparing quality, nutritious meals.
• Previous experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.
• You’re empathetic, adaptable, and resourceful, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
