Job summary

Uniting Eden is seeking an experienced catering assistant to join our team in Eden. This part-time role (21 hours per week) offers an award-rate package with superannuation and NFP salary packaging and provides an excellent opportunity to support residents with nutritious meals.

You’ll handle catering tasks, respect residents’ dietary needs, work with care staff on texture-modified meals, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen. Experience in aged care is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services.
• Certificate III in Hospitality preferred or equivalent.
• Food Safety Certificate desirable and knowledge of safe food handling.

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services – whether in catering, cooking or kitchenhand roles
• Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification (highly desirable)
• Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable)
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for preparing quality, nutritious meals.
• Previous experience in aged care or hospital settings is a bonus.
• You’re empathetic, adaptable, and resourceful, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
