As a Casual Food Services Assistant in a regional community, you will work with our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals, maintain kitchen hygiene, and assist across hotel services such as laundry and cleaning. This role emphasizes teamwork and resident-focused service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check/NDIS (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
• A compassionate and respectful approach to aged care

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
