Job summary

Respect is seeking a Casual Food Services Assistant to join our team in regional Australia’s aged care facilities. You will work with the Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents while upholding food safety standards and keeping kitchens and dining areas running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care food services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
