Job summary

Respect Group in Australia is seeking a Casual Food Services Assistant to join our regional aged care kitchen team, assisting the Chef or Cook to prepare and serve residents' meals while upholding Food Safety standards.

Based in a regional community, you’ll enjoy a supportive, close‑knit team, opportunities to contribute across hotel services such as laundry and cleaning, and pathways for training and development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Check/NDIS (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in residential aged care feed services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
