Job summary

RSL LifeCare in Thirlmere is seeking a part-time Carer to support veterans and seniors with personal care in our residential homes. You will work in a supportive team, delivering compassionate, person-centred care that respects each resident's needs and preferences.

In this casual role, you’ll collaborate with families, follow care plans, utilise available technology to improve efficiency, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while enjoying flexible hours and not-for-profit salary

Qualifications

Demonstrated compassion, empathy and advocacy.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work efficiently by using technology in the role.
Teamwork and collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with residents and their families to provide personal care.
Provide quality, timely and effective care that reflects the resident's needs and care plans.
Encourage wellbeing and independence by supporting residents in preferred activities and interests.
Embody a person‑centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual's goals and preferences.
Participate in risk management and continuous quality improvement activities.
Build strong relationships with your team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
