The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is seeking motivated individuals to join our Derby Works Depot as Works Labourers. You will maintain roads, footpaths, parks, gardens, drainage, and open spaces, and support airport/wharf operations with security and baggage handling.

We offer attractive remuneration, generous leave, and superannuation contributions. This role requires reliability, physical fitness, and a team-oriented mindset with weekend/after-hours flexibility when needed.

Qualifications

• White Card, Construction Induction.
• Willingness to undertake structured/on-the-job training for municipal operations.
• Current police clearance; certificate to be maintained throughout employment.
• Senior first aid certificate.

Responsabilités

• Maintain roads, footpaths, parks, gardens, drainage and open spaces.
• Work at the Derby Wharf, Derby and Curtin Airports; perform general gardening, litter collection, minor repairs and security duties.
• Operate tools and equipment (whipper snippers, mowers, brush cutters, leaf blowers, tractors, hand tools).
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards; work independently or in a team.
