Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking compassionate Community Workers to travel around East Maitland, Thornton and surrounding areas, assisting clients to live independently at home. The role includes in-home tasks, transport, meal prep and personal care, with flexible hours for a part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support and connect with clients with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks as per care plan.
• Provide transport to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation.
• Social support or respite for family/carers.
• Personal care including showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained).

You will be travelling around East Maitland, Thornton and surrounding areas in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
