Job summary

The City of Parramatta is seeking a dedicated Community Care professional to support individuals and groups over 55, people with disabilities and carers. You will deliver flexible, participant-centred care across activities and coordinate a caseload to meet outcomes.

This full-time permanent role offers a competitive salary plus 12% super and hybrid working conditions, with substantial leave and wellbeing programs. Excellent opportunities for growth and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in the community sector applying best practice approaches.
• Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
• Intermediate computer literacy including Microsoft suite.

About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering best practice support to individuals and groups across Community Care focused on people over 55 years, people with disabilities and carers.

In this role you will

• Deliver flexible, participant‑centred support across individual and group activities to enhance health, wellbeing, and social connection, while meeting KPIs
• Manage and coordinate caseload, including assessment, planning, service delivery, referrals, and exits
• Facilitate group activities in an enabling way, empowering participants to take ownership and reduce reliance on formal supports
• Support and guide volunteers to deliver quality services
• Manage and resolve day‑to‑day issues, escalating where required

About You

The successful candidate should have a minimum two years’ experience working in the community sector applying best practice approaches and work with a diverse range of people.

• Delivering best practice support to individuals and groups focused on participants achievement of goals
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently, and as part of a team
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to source and support people into valued community networks and activities
• Intermediate computer literacy including Microsoft suite of products and other applications.

Qualifications / Licences

• Current Driver’s license
• Current First Aid certificate
• Food Safety certificate or able to attain within the first 3 months of employment
• Certificate 4 in relevant community sector qualification (desirable)
