Job summary

Calvary Care in Melbourne's community home care is seeking Support Workers for part-time or casual roles across the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding suburbs. Roles will be rostered by location to minimize travel, with flexible hours and local client assignments.

Ideal candidates may have health-sector experience; full training is provided. Qualifications include a Certificate III in Aged Care or related field; CPR/First Aid certificates, a valid driver's licence, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Individual Support (preferred but not essential)
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates are required
• Current and valid Driver's Licence and comprehensive insurance, reliable motor vehicle
• Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to work independently
• Proficiency with smartphones, email and internet

Responsibilities

• Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
• Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer.
• Qualified support workers will also support clients with personal cares, mobility assistance and prompting with medication
