Job summary

Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) is seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our Toowoomba region on a casual basis. You will support aged care clients aged 65+ in their homes, delivering person-centred care and enabling social engagement within the community.

The role focuses on maintaining independence and wellbeing, providing personal care, meal preparation and light domestic tasks, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, respectful support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care required.
• Experience supporting older people in a community setting preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to commit to approximately 20 hours per week.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smart phone.
• National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

We are seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team on a casual basis for our Toowoombalocation. This role supports aged care clients aged 65 years and above within their own homes, delivering services with a strong person-centred care approach.

You will play a meaningful role in enabling clients to remain engaged in their community while maintaining independence and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care (essential)
• Previous experience supporting older people in a community setting
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously

• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
