Job summary

Alzheimer’s Queensland is seeking passionate Community Support Assistants for the Toowoomba location to support clients aged 65+ in their homes. You will deliver personal care, social support, and light domestic assistance with a person-centred approach to help clients stay connected and independent.

The role requires Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support, strong time management, and the ability to work autonomously.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care (essential)
• Previous experience supporting older people in a community setting
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to commit to approximately 20 hours per week
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Smart phone
• National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Job description

Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) is a progressive organisation committed to supporting older Australians to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We are seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team on a casual basis for our Toowoomba location. This role supports aged care clients aged 65 years and above within their own homes, delivering services with a strong person-centred care approach.

You will play a meaningful role in enabling clients to remain engaged in their community while maintaining independence and wellbeing.
