Job summary

Alzheimer’s Queensland is seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team in Ipswich. This casual role supports aged care clients aged 65+ in their own homes, delivering person-centred care and helping clients stay connected with their communities.

You will provide personal care, social support, meals, and light domestic tasks, with emphasis on safety, independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care (essential).
• Experience assisting older people in a community setting.
• Strong time management and ability to work autonomously.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Available to commit to approximately 20 hours per week.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
• Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smartphone usage.
• National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) is a progressive organisation committed to supporting older Australians to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We are seeking passionate Community Support Assistants to join our community care team on a casual basis for Ipswich location. This role supports aged care clients aged 65 years and above within their own homes, delivering services with a strong person-centred care approach.

You will play a meaningful role in enabling clients to remain engaged in their community while maintaining independence and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
