Job summary

Transgrid in Sydney is seeking a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer to help deliver engagement programs, coordinate consultations, and respond to stakeholder enquiries across the Sydney Ring South project. You will work with project teams to ensure community feedback informs planning and decision-making.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in communications or related field, experience managing stakeholder interactions, and the ability to work both independently and with teams.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, community engagement or a related field.
• Experience managing challenging customer interactions and resolving conflict.
• Experience engaging with landowners, community members, advocacy groups and government stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
• A current Australian driver’s licence.
• Accreditation in IAP2 practices (desirable).
• Experience using Salesforce CRM software (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engagement programs and coordinate consultation activities.
• Respond to stakeholder enquiries and manage records of engagement.
• Ensure community feedback informs project planning and decision‑making.
• Work with project teams to support information sessions, workshops and briefings.
