Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the District Nursing Service covering East Dorset. The role involves caring for complex patients at home across 3 teams, with base at St Leonards hospital and training opportunities available.

You will manage wound care, IV therapies, end-of-life care, and medicines administration, while contributing to care planning and MDT collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse with the ability to manage complex home-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care at patients' homes.
• Undertake assessment of care needs and develop programmes of care with the MDT.
• Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes.
• Provide supervision and clinical support to students and junior staff.
• Assist with medicines management and IV therapies as part of district nursing.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
