Job summary

Acknowledge Education invites applications for a Lecturer in Community Services to join the Adelaide academic team. The role focuses on delivering practical, student-centred learning for the Bachelor of Community Services, drawing on experience in case work, social work, youth work, psychology or related fields, with emphasis on Family and Domestic Violence knowledge.

The successful candidate will teach lectures and tutorials, assess work, provide feedback, support at-risk students and help

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or closely related field.
• Experience within Family and Domestic Violence is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ full time experience in the community services sector.
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice.
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting students and developing future community services professionals.
• This position does not require previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach into the Bachelor of Community Services, delivering practical, engaging and student-centred learning.
• Teach lectures and tutorials, marking assessments and providing feedback.
• Support students at risk and maintain student records.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement in teaching practice.

Education
