Job summary

Lumia Care is seeking a compassionate Community Registered Nurse to provide clinical care for aged care clients in the Georges River region. Shifts run on weekdays from 7am–3pm and/or 2pm–8pm, with at least two days of availability.

Ideal candidates will be registered with AHPRA and have a minimum of two years of community nursing experience, plus own vehicle and a valid driver’s licence. Travel payments and allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years community nursing experience.
• Clinical nursing experience is desired; however, the role focuses on Community Role.
• A caring nature with demonstrated tolerance, patience and empathy with people.
• Access to your own vehicle and a driver's licence.
• Be able to offer weekdays to build a solid roster between 7am-3pm &/or 2-8pm weekdays.
• Experience/knowledge in interventions such as medication administration (Incl. IVAB), clinical observations, basic and complex wound care, catheter care (IDC, SPC), enteral feeding, PICC line management, insulin and palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in Aged Care across the region on weekday shifts.
• Maintain rostering with shifts 7am-3pm and/or 2-8pm, 2 days minimum.
• Document care plans and monitor patient progress.
• Assist with medications administration and wound care as needed.
