Strathbogie Shire Council in Victoria invites applications for the Community Recovery Administration Officer – Planning, Building & Health. This part-time (.8) role is temporary to June 2027 and is paid at Band 4 ($70,236 per annum, pro-rata) plus 12% super.

You will provide courteous customer service to Recovery Officers and residents affected by the Longwood Berry Lane fire, and support planning, building surveyor and environmental health staff.

Community Recovery Administration Officer - Planning, Building & Health

About the Role:

The Community Recovery Administration Officer – Planning, Building & Health provides courteous, positive customer service to Recovery Officers and community members impacted by the Longwood Berry Lane fire event, while delivering administrative support to the Recovery Planning Officer, Municipal Building Surveyor, and Recovery Environmental Health Officer to assist residents in rebuilding.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide responsive, courteous, and reliable customer service in a timely manner to impacted community members of the Longwood Berry Lane fire event.

Maintain health systems, including all required processes, in accordance with all statutory, industrial and Council policy and procedural requirements related to Longwood Berry Lane fire event recovery.

Process referrals to external authorities.

Draft documentation for issuing by contractor, i.e. Permits and Certificates for Longwood Berry Lane fire event.

Experience in the use of software packages and databases including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
