Job summary

Australian Red Cross is seeking an experienced Manager to lead housing and homelessness prevention programs in Townsville. Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the homelessness sector, including contemporary challenges, opportunities and best practice approaches.
• Significant experience leading operational teams and building high-performing teams.
• Proven success implementing new ways of working and securing stakeholder buy-in across diverse environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and interpret complex information to drive continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term strategic plans and practical operational solutions.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Commitment to inclusive service delivery, including experience with First Nations, CALD, and LGBTIQ+ communities.

We have an opportunity for an experienced and passionate Manager to lead our housing and homelessness prevention programs that create meaningful and lasting outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families.

Day to day, you will

In this role, you will oversee the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of multiple programs focused on supporting people to maintain their housing and avoid homelessness. You will provide leadership to program teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure services are delivered effectively, safely and in line with funding and organisational requirements.
