Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council is hiring lifeguards to supervise pool patrons and aquatic environments, with opportunities to gain a nationally recognised qualification. The role involves ensuring safety, assisting with kiosk operations, and responding to emergencies.

Ideal candidates are safety-minded, people-oriented and prepared for a flexible role within our aquatic centres and wetside teams. Training support is provided to obtain the Lifeguard qualification if needed.

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard qualification or the ability to obtain prior to starting.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
• Working with Children Blue Card
• Outstanding work ethic
• Good health and physically fit
• Awareness of Safety
• Good interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise patrons, activities and the aquatic environment to minimise risks and ensure patrons conduct themselves in accordance with the conditions of entry
• Support kiosk / admission operations as required
• Rescue patrons in difficulty and provide emergency care to those in need
• Maintain and clean equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy operating environment
