Job summary

MRT Rehab is a growing, clinician-led Allied Health team in Melbourne. We support older Australians to stay mobile and independent in their own homes, traveling about 30–40 minutes from home base to reach clients.

As a Community Physiotherapist you’ll manage your own caseload with clinical support, receive weekly 60-minute supervision, 1–2 PD days per month and a $1,500 annual skills budget, plus a $5,000 referral bonus and a retention bonus after parental leave.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge and reasoning, with an eagerness to learn.
• Ability to manage a community caseload from assessment to documentation.
• Clear and warm communication, including complex conversations with clients and families.
• Flexible, personable approach to build trust with diverse backgrounds.
• Experience as a physiotherapist in a community-based setting.
• Knowledge of Support at Home and/or NDIS funding.
• Experience supporting older adults with complex rehabilitation needs.
• Commitment to professional development and upskilling.
• Ability to speak another language.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients in their own homes, including mobility, strength, gait and balance.
• Develop and implement person-centred treatment plans and goals.
• Deliver evidence-based treatments and home exercise programs.
• Assess and prescribe mobility aids and equipment.
• Educate clients and families on mobility, gait retraining and self-management.
• Maintain clear clinical notes and reports while balancing documentation and care.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other health professionals to achieve shared outcomes.
