Challenge Employment & Training is seeking a proactive Student Engagement & Recruitment Officer to promote government-funded training programs, build partnerships, and attract students across our courses. The role is highly mobile, with about 80% travel to schools, job providers and community organisations, and works closely with the Training and Development Coordinator to grow referrals.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with an emphasis on face-to-face outreach

Qualifications

• Experience in student recruitment, community engagement, business development, sales, stakeholder relations or a similar role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence networking, presenting information and promoting services to external organisations.
• The ability to proactively identify opportunities, generate referrals and convert enquiries into enrolments.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule while working out in the community.
• A high level of digital literacy and confidence using technology to maintain records and communicate with stakeholders.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly as part of the role.
• A genuine interest in education, training, employment pathways and supporting people to achieve their goals.

Responsabilités

• Student Recruitment: Proactively identify, engage and recruit prospective students into our training programs.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, Link and Launch, Queensland Pathways, job providers and community organisations.
• Relationship Management: Develop strong referral networks and partnerships to generate student referrals and training opportunities.
• Outreach & Promotion: Represent Challenge Employment & Training at school visits, community events, career expos, provider meetings and other networking opportunities.
• Student Enquiries & Follow-Up: Respond to enquiries, provide information about available courses and support prospective students through the recruitment and enrolment process.
• Growth & Participation: Identify opportunities to increase awareness of our training programs, improve engagement and grow student enrolments.
• Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, referrals, prospective students and recruitment outcomes.
