Job summary

Hunter New England Health in Glen Innes is seeking a Community Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the health facility and in their homes, delivering safe, compassionate, and individualized care. Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Qualifications or extensive experience in wound management – essential.
• Previous community nursing experience desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Wound care – assessment, treatment and ongoing management.
• Catheter care – catheter changes and ongoing support.
• Palliative care – providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
• Medication management – safe administration, monitoring and education.
• Community nursing – delivering care within the health facility and patients’ homes.
• Care coordination – working with patients, families and healthcare professionals to support positive health outcomes.
