City of Parramatta is seeking a Community Infrastructure Project Manager to lead client-side delivery of a range of community and cultural infrastructure projects. The role focuses on scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and quality, coordinating diverse teams and driving procurement and governance while engaging leadership and the community to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

About the role

The Community Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for providing the client-side leadership of a range of community and cultural infrastructure projects.

In this role you will:

• Lead and deliver complex projects from initiation to operational handover, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality outcomes are successfully managed.
• Manage project governance, planning and reporting, including schedules, critical paths, milestones, dependencies, forecasts, budgets, risks, issues, and performance reporting.
• Coordinate diverse stakeholders and project teams, including ICT, Capital Works, consultants, contractors, and business units to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and compliance, ensuring projects meet legislative, regulatory, organisational, and industry best-practice requirements.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement and organisational outcomes, building strong partnerships, promoting innovation, delivering excellent customer service, and effectively communicating with leadership, Council, and community stakeholders.

About you

The successful candidate is someone who brings:

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale business systems and infrastructure projects in a government environment.
• Proven ability to develop business cases, project plans, functional specifications, and requirements documentation.
• Strong project management skills, including managing budgets, risks, timelines, milestones, and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted relationships.
• Advanced problem-solving, communication, and project systems expertise, supported by strong technical and legislative knowledge.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements in the Position Description, including:

Qualifications/Licences:

• Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as project management, engineering, business administration and / or equivalent knowledge or experience
• Current Project Management Practitioner Accreditation, ideally Agile, Prince2 or PMBOK
