Job description

What’s the role?

Ready for a role where no two days look the same—and where your work makes a real difference to children and families? Join the iconic Good Friday Appeal and bring energy, creativity and fresh thinking to the growth of our community and peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising programs.

This is a fast‑paced management role for a connected, commercially minded fundraiser who loves turning ideas into action. You’ll lead the strategy, delivery and stewardship of supporter experiences across a vibrant mix of channels and campaigns—from Run for the Kids and high‑value community initiatives to commercial partnerships and innovative fundraising opportunities.

You’ll work with passionate internal teams, inspiring fundraisers and external supporters to create engaging campaigns that are compliant, measurable and built to grow. It’s an opportunity to combine big‑picture thinking with hands‑on delivery, influence across teams and help shape the future of one of Australia’s most loved appeals.

Role Responsibilities
  • Own and develop the organisation‑wide peer‑to‑peer framework, campaign mechanics, and supporter journeys to drive acquisition, participation, and retention.

  • Steward and grow relationships with high‑value community fundraisers , commercial supporters, and the Run for Kids fundraising community.

  • Manage selected commercial/corporate partnerships and optimise in‑kind partner opportunities to maximise impact.

  • Oversee fundraiser‑level compliance, including legal obligations, public liability requirements, authority‑to‑fundraise (ATF) forms, and terms and conditions.

  • Maintain pipeline management, proposal submissions, and accurate reporting to provide clear recommendations for campaign improvements.

  • Collaborate with marketing, digital, and communication teams to create best‑in‑class resources, eDM/SMS content, and thank‑you strategies.

  • Utilise key digital systems and CRMs—such as Salesforce, Funraisin’, Asana, and Google Workspace to manage records and optimise performance.

  • Act as the escalation point for fundraiser inquiries and complaints, ensuring all issues are resolved swiftly and professionally.

Who are you?
  • Demonstrated background in community fundraising, P2P campaigns, or supporter engagement within an Australian NFP or similar setting.

  • Skilled at building and executing fundraising plans, managing campaign pipelines, and delivering multi‑stakeholder outcomes on time.

  • Proficient with CRMs and digital fundraising platforms, ideally with hands‑on experience using Salesforce and Funraisin’.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication style with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse groups, from volunteers to corporate contacts.

  • Comfortable using data, ROI metrics, and conversion rates to make evidence‑based decisions and track campaign health.

  • Sound understanding of fundraising regulations, privacy rules, permits, safeguarding, and public liability requirements.

  • Passionate about making a difference for the Royal Children’s Hospital community and aligned with the values of the Good Friday Appeal.

  • Ability to multi‑task, manage competing priorities, and stay calm and focused through high‑volume appeal periods.

Why this role matters

You’ll be part of a purpose‑driven team that brings people together around a cause that matters. With variety, pace and plenty of room to innovate, this role is your chance to create fundraising experiences that inspire action, strengthen community connection and deliver lasting impact for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

If you’re ready to make your mark on an iconic appeal—and bring bold ideas, practical energy and genuine care to the work we’d love to hear from you.
