Job summary

The Kids Research Institute Australia is seeking a Community Involvement Officer to coordinate community involvement activities across the Institute, working with the Community Involvement Coordinator, researchers and advisory groups to enable consumers and community members to actively contribute to research and organisational initiatives.

Based at our Perth offices and offering a 0.5 FTE, hybrid working options, you will recruit and onboard community members, deliver events and workshops,

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or experience in community engagement, public health or a related field.
• Experience building strong relationships with community members, stakeholders or researchers.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects, programs, events or engagement activities.
• Understanding of consumer and community involvement principles and best practice.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community involvement across research and Institute initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with consumers, families, communities and researchers.
• Recruit, onboard and support community members in advisory and research activities.
• Deliver community events, workshops, training and engagement activities.
• Support advisory groups, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement programs.
