Job summary

Zipline is expanding its Australia team and seeks a part-time Australia Expansion Fellow in a hybrid role. You will work with the Head of Australia on community engagement strategies, meeting residents, businesses and organisations to translate Zipline’s technology into locally credible conversations.

The role emphasizes listening to community perspectives, addressing concerns about noise and safety, and bringing insights back to Zipline for action.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, public affairs or related field.
• Strong track record building trusted relationships with communities.
• Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort engaging with residents, councillors and MPs.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents, community groups, elected officials, local businesses and environmental organisations.
• Engage local influencers, community publishers and social media admins.
• Organise community briefings, listening sessions, demonstrations, open days and retailer events.
• Explain Zipline’s technology clearly, including addressing noise and safety concerns.
• Monitor community sentiment and identify concerns early.
• Manage stakeholder outreach, follow-ups and the community CRM.
• Bring feedback back into Zipline and help teams respond accordingly.
• Represent Zipline at local meetings, events and forums.
