Job summary

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a Community Development & Engagement Officer (maternity leave cover) to plan, initiate and conduct community development programs, events and projects across the Central Highlands region. You will engage the community in a meaningful way using online platforms like Have Your Say Central Highlands, Smartygrants and My Community Directory.

The role requires facilitating community planning activities, reporting, procurement tasks, and ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with the community to design and deliver programs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• High level of digital literacy and ability to learn online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of community planning, development and engagement activities.
• Facilitate regional and place-based community planning initiatives.
• Deliver community development programs, initiatives and events across the Central Highlands region.
• Undertake community engagement activities, meetings, consultations, events and reporting.
