Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver to deliver for customers in our community, driving modern trucks between our centres and customers, and performing safety checks. You’ll load and unload parcels and operate with a customer-centric mindset on a rotating roster.

You’ll need HC vehicle experience (with flexibility for HR vans) and a current forklift license, plus be safety-focused and able to pass a pre-employment check. 6-month fixed-term with pathways to ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating HC vehicles; flexibility to drive HR vehicles and vans as required.
• Current Forklift License or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to work across a rotating roster, including day and night shifts.
• Be safety-focused and understand the chain of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery.
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
• Driving our modern trucks between operational centres and customers for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.
