Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver to deliver for customers using our iconic blue trucks, connecting businesses and communities daily. You will drive between operational centres and customers, perform safety checks, and load/unload freight as needed.

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm with overtime as required, you will join a team that values safety, wellbeing and growth opportunities, including Post Perks discounts and superannuation benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a heavy vehicle licence MR with manual truck experience.
• Be fit enough to load/unload freight of varying shapes/sizes.
• Be safety-focused with understanding of chain of responsibility.
• Provide driving history, medical, drug/alcohol screen and police checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading your truck with freight for deliveries with teammates.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
• Drive modern trucks between centres and customers for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Return to centres to unload pick-ups.
• Complete PUD work with roughly 50–60 daily drops.
• Work Monday to Friday 9:00am–5:00pm with overtime as required.
