Job summary

The Shire of Capel is seeking a Customer Service Officer to be the first point of contact for customers. You will triage requests, assist with basic enquiries, and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate teams. You’ll also handle payments, venue hire, and process applications and registrations with a friendly, professional approach.

Casual shifts are available Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:45pm. The role offers an hourly rate of 35.1763 AUD plus casual loading, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Strong customer services experience
• Demonstrated administration experience
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Internet, Email and databases
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good numerical and literacy skills
• Cash handling experience and knowledge of local government structure and function will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage customer requests
• Assist with basic enquiries and elevate complex enquiries to relevant teams
• Receive and receipt payments, assist with venue hire
• Receive, process, and refer incoming applications and registrations
