Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Local Laws Ranger to join the team responsible for educating the community, resolving compliance issues and applying legislation fairly. You’ll help protect community safety, amenity and the environment while investigating complaints and enforcing rules across Caboolture and the city.

You'll work in a dynamic regulatory environment, patrol public spaces, record actions accurately, and provide practical advice to residents.

Qualifications

• Experienced compliance professional capable of interpreting and applying legislation.
• Ability to conduct investigations and make regulatory decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate and engage the community on State legislation and Council local laws.
• Investigate complaints and undertake regulatory compliance activities.
• Exercise enforcement powers where required, including issuing infringement notices and impounding animals, vehicles and abandoned goods.
• Patrol streets, parks and public spaces to identify and respond to community concerns.
• Record customer interactions, interviews, investigations and compliance actions accurately.
• Provide practical advice, guidance and customer-focused solutions to the community.
