Job summary

Total Resource Solutions is seeking an experienced Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to support major NSW government projects. The role focuses on developing and delivering engagement plans, coordinating consultations, and building strong relationships with communities and stakeholders.

Based in Sydney CBD, the position offers daily rates of $500-$600 plus super, with up to 40 hours per week and a contract until 30 November 2026.

Experience within government, infrastructure, transport, construction or major projects would be highly regarded.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to support the delivery of major government projects and programs across NSW.

The Role

You will support a broad range of community and stakeholder engagement activities, including:

• Developing and implementing community and stakeholder engagement plans
• Coordinating community consultations, workshops, events and information sessions
• Building positive relationships with community members, customers and key stakeholders
• Preparing newsletters, community notices, project/construction updates, presentations and digital content
• Managing and responding to community enquiries, feedback and emerging issues
• Identifying and escalating stakeholder risks where appropriate

About You

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement, communications or public affairs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience developing communications for a range of audiences
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience managing sensitive community enquiries and stakeholder concerns
• Strong organisation and coordination skills
