Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT in Sydney's Woolloomooloo is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to connect with people, build partnerships and design programs that improve lives, with trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches.

You will work with young people and those facing disadvantage in social housing, collaborating with internal teams, community groups and government partners to foster belonging, inclusion and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma with at least 3 years' experience in Community Services, Community Development, Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
• Experience working alongside individuals experiencing disadvantage, marginalisation or vulnerability.
• Proven community engagement, consultation and co-design experience.
• A current Working With Children Check.

• Facilitate conversations and design programs that strengthen local communities.
• Work with internal teams, community groups, government partners and local stakeholders to drive initiatives.
• Support opportunities for connection and engagement for young people and vulnerable residents in social housing.
