Job summary

Carexcell is seeking compassionate Community Carers to deliver essential support within the community, helping clients maintain independence and improve quality of life. You will provide personal care, domestic assistance, and wellbeing support, ensuring safety and dignity in every interaction.

You will work with a supportive team, follow person-centred care plans, and maintain accurate records while engaging in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or a relevant field.
• Active NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Ability to speak a second language (highly regarded).
• Previous experience in aged care or disability support (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility, and continence care.
• Domestic Assistance: Light household duties, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Health & Wellbeing Support: Administer medication, support reablement-focused care, and monitor client wellbeing.
• Social & Emotional Support: Provide companionship and facilitate community involvement.
• Care Planning & Documentation: Follow person-centred care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Workplace Health & Safety: Adhere to WHS guidelines and ensure a safe environment.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with team members and participate in training and development.
