Job summary

The Commons is seeking a proactive Community Associate in Sydney to foster a thriving, inclusive environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting member experience, onboarding, and relationship-building across the space.

You will work across community engagement, events, and operations, coordinating weekly activities, managing inquiries, and ensuring smooth office operations. If you’re organized, people-focused, and eager to learn, this role offers growth and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests at the front desk, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Anticipate member needs to enhance their experience.
  • Facilitate introductions and engagement through relationship-building initiatives.
  • Manage onboarding including tours, inductions, and welcome packs.
  • Address member issues or escalate to Community Manager when needed.
  • Notify the Community Manager of potential membership changes.
  • Assist in creating and distributing promotional materials for weekly events.
  • Support event setup and pack-down as required.
  • Help prepare for member breakfasts and Friday night drinks.
  • Take ownership of events to ensure an outstanding member experience.
  • Participate in community and member events.
  • Support daily scheduling and operational tasks as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Respond to emails and member inquiries promptly.
  • On-board and off-board members and companies within the space.
  • Maintain databases of members, companies, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Member/Doggo Directory.
  • Assist with IT ticket management and basic troubleshooting.
  • Send out event notifications and reminders within your location.
  • Keep offices and desks clean and ready for new members.
  • Deliver incoming mail to members promptly.
  • Ensure workspace is well presented and fully operational.
  • Report maintenance issues and assist in resolution.
  • Conduct regular building checks and maintain cleanliness.
  • Monitor stock levels and order consumables.
  • Oversee storage area audits and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with cleaning staff to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct weekly fridge and pantry cleans.

About the Role

We’re seeking a talented and passionate Community Associate to join our team and help us create a thriving and inclusive environment. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in fostering community, supporting the member experience, and ensuring seamless operations. You are a team player who can work independently, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and build strong internal and external relationships.

What You'll Do

The main duties of the role include but are not limited to the below:

Community Engagement & Member Experience
