Job summary

Rutherford Electrical Engineering Services (REES) Communications Division has grown to be the preferred supplier to customers in the Hunter and surrounding areas, delivering fibre optic and data cabling installations, terminations and testing. CCTV, access control, wireless networks and AV installations are among the specialist services offered.

We are seeking a motivated Communications Technician to join our service team in Rutherford NSW on a permanent full-time basis, with on-the-job training

Qualifications

• Fibre optic and data cabling installation, termination and testing.
• Experience with access control and wireless network systems.
• Knowledge of CCTV/AV installations and service/maintenance.
• Following site safety protocols including JSA/SWMS.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test fibre optic and data cabling.
• Install and maintain access control systems and wireless network devices.
• Assist in CCTV/AV installations, service and maintenance.
• Follow site safety protocols and documentation.

Rutherford Electrical Engineering Services (REES) Communications Division has grown to be the preferred supplier to many customers in the Hunter and surrounding areas requiring specialist work in the fields of Fibre optic and Data cabling installations, terminations and testing. CCTV, Access Control, Wireless Networks & AV installations, service & maintenance.

We are currently looking for a motivated person to join us and become part of a service team that enjoys challenges with exceptional customer service

Key areas of experience can include:

Install, terminate and test Fibre optic and Data cabling

Install, maintain Access Control systems, Wireless Network devices

To be successful in this role we are looking for you to have:

Permanent residents or citizens eligible to work in Australia

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Proven ability to follow site specific safety protocols inc. JSA / SWMS development

An Open Registration license with Fibre Optic and Structured Cabling endorsements

Class 2C Security Licence

Experience in the Communications / AV / Electrical spaces

HRW License - EWP

Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology

Exposure to VMS systems - Milestone

Experience with ICT, Inner Range access control systems

Experience with IT / Networking / Device programming

Mining / Heavy Industry exposure
