Blacktown City Council is seeking a Communications and Marketing Assistant to deliver social media content, newsletters, website updates and promotional materials. You will help coordinate advertising bookings, support branding plans, and attend community events to capture stories across the city.

You’ll work with staff, suppliers, media and stakeholders to achieve clear communication outcomes. The role offers a secure, permanent, full-time position with an entry salary and strong professional

Qualifications

Experience in producing written and visual content for public audiences.
Ability to assist with advertising campaigns, newsletters and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

Create and publish social media content, assist with advertising campaigns, prepare newsletters and promotional materials, update website content and support corporate publications.
Attend community and formal events, capture stories and share across channels; coordinate advertising bookings and support branding and communications plans.
Assist with day-to-day website and content management; work with colleagues, suppliers, media, sponsors and stakeholders to deliver clear communication outcomes.
Gain exposure to a broad range of communications channels while contributing to a growing city’s narrative.
